Tobermory does something to your sense of time. The ferry queue and the drive fall away, the harbour opens out in front of you, and suddenly there is no good reason to hurry anywhere. Rooms made for switching off
Our eleven boutique rooms are individually styled — comfortable beds, quality linen, en-suite bathrooms and warm, calm interiors rather than corporate sameness. Selected rooms look straight out across Tobermory Bay, where the light changes by the hour: fishing boats heading out in the morning, the colourful waterfront glowing in the evening sun.
One room in particular has become a favourite: Room 7, with its freestanding bath set beside the window overlooking the bay. Run it deep, bring a dram up from the bar, and watch the harbour go about its business. It is not a complicated luxury, but it is a memorable one.
Everything under one roof, nothing far away
Part of what makes a stay here feel easy is that the evening looks after itself. Our bar and 75 West, our waterfront restaurant, are on the ground floor — fresh local seafood, Scottish whiskies, and no need to drive anywhere or book a taxi. Check in, settle in, eat well, sleep well.
Step out of the front door and you are on Tobermory's Main Street: independent shops, galleries and cafés, the distillery along the harbour, and the waterfront walk into Aros Park with its woodland paths and waterfalls when you want some quiet.
A base for as much, or as little, as you like
Some guests use us as a launchpad — wildlife boat trips, day trips to Iona and Staffa, beaches on the west coast of Mull. Others barely leave the village, and honestly, that is a perfectly good way to spend a few days. Coffee on the harbour, a long lunch, a walk, a bath with a view, dinner at 75 West, a nightcap in the bar. Repeat.
